Koko series

I have just started a new series of paintings on the theme of Kokopelli deity, which I'm really enjoying. Kokopelli is a native American fertility deity. Often depicted in history with feathers or antenna like protrusions shooting from his head. Kokopelli is said to preside over childbirth and agriculture, so a deity of new growth is how I see him. He is also known as a trickster and represents the sprit of music.

As and when I finish the art I will post them. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Chillout 3

Mixed media on canvas.

Approx size 4" x 4"

Another from my chillout series. I really enjoyed painting these, trying to paint what I felt. It sometimes takes my paintings away from what I normally paint but its great fun.

Chao 2

Approx size 10" x 12"

Air brushed ink on deep canvas

This art work just shouts art deco, although it was very organic whilst painting it and did not start off like this.

SOLD

Chaos 4

Approx size 16" x 20"

Air brushed acrylic ink on canvas.

Chaos 2, is the next art work in this series. Ideas and emotions taken from history gave me the imagination for this piece.

Deco 1

Approx size 6" x 16"

Airbrushed ink on canvas.

With Deco 1, I wanted to try and paint what I thought art deco meant to me. This came out as sharp lines and crescents and I'm not sure why but the pale blue seemed right.

SOLD

Chaos 1

Approx 24" x 10"

Air brushed ink on canvas

Chaos 1, came from my thoughts of how we all are running around in some sort of chaotic order. Like a contradiction in terms. As always, the art starts off as an idea and grows organically into something that I enjoyed doing and hope you enjoy looking at.

As always, I am open to realistic offers.
